Anti-Slavery Policy
Zero tolerance of slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking in our work and supply chain.

This policy sits alongside our Terms of Service. It is about people and suppliers, not website cookies. How we handle personal data if you contact us about a concern is in the Privacy Policy.
1. Our commitment
Shaun Allen, based at 18 Pasture View, Kingswood, Hull, HU7 3AH, United Kingdom, will not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in our business or supply chain.
This statement is published voluntarily. Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 only requires a slavery and human trafficking statement from commercial organisations with a turnover of £36 million or more. We are a small sole-trader digital practice and are not in that category. We still publish this so suppliers and visitors know what we expect.
2. The law that applies
We support the aims of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and related Home Office guidance on transparency in supply chains. We expect anyone we work with to comply with UK employment law, human rights law and anti-slavery law. Offences under the Act include slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking, and there is a separate offence of holding a person in slavery or servitude.
3. Who this covers
- Our own work: website design, hosting arrangements, business email setup and related digital services
- Suppliers we use to deliver that work: hosting, domain registration, email infrastructure and security tools
- Anyone engaged to help on a client project
4. Risk in our work
Our work is knowledge-based and delivered from the United Kingdom. We do not run factories, warehouses or large labour forces. We assess our modern slavery risk as low. Residual risks we watch for include:
- Subcontracted labour used by a supplier without our knowledge
- Data-centre, hardware or facilities services behind hosting providers
- New suppliers or working arrangements if the business grows
5. What we do
- Zero tolerance - we will not knowingly work with an organisation involved in slavery or trafficking
- Supplier choice - we prefer established, reputable providers and expect them to operate lawfully
- Proportionate checks - before we rely on a supplier we review reputation, contract terms and any public compliance information that is reasonable for the size of the engagement
- Fair work - we do not use forced labour, withhold identity documents, or unreasonably restrict people who work with us
- Review - we keep this policy current and follow UK guidance aimed at small businesses
6. How to report a concern
If you think modern slavery or trafficking may be connected with our work or a supplier, contact us immediately via the contact page. We will take it seriously and look into it.
You can also report independently. In the UK, the Modern Slavery Helpline is 0800 0121 700 or modernslaveryhelpline.org. In an emergency, call 999.
We will only use personal data you send us for this purpose as set out in the Privacy Policy and GDPR Policy.
7. If something is found
We will not continue a supplier relationship where we have credible evidence of modern slavery or trafficking and the concern is not put right. We will cooperate with lawful investigations. How we use this website more generally is in the Terms of Service.
8. Review
We review this policy at least once a year, or sooner if our suppliers or the law change in a material way. The date at the top will be updated when we change the text.
